Batmangz Returns

I felt like doing something painty the other day and looked through one of my sketchbooks.
When I was deciding what to do with the canvas that would become Frankenstein, I was drawing a far few Batmen.
Mostly playing obscure instruments. I really like the idea of this one though.

Plus a bonus sketch from the Batman Frahm picture I did for my sister.

Ramping

A screen test for our film this year. The lower one has been fiddled with in after effects to attempt to create a higher contrast image with purdy colours. Character by Copeland.

Prost

Just quickly, some general pre-production for this years film.

Character is Basil Shrubb, a sort of english guy who is slightly taller than the robot but much raspier.

Success in gallery town. Didn’t sell Frank on the opening night, but it’s understandable.

Recent Activity

Have been rather lazy lately and havn’t put anything up here. Annoying.
I managed to get my digital paintings printed out, and rather cheaply considering.
Included is an Art Frahm inspired painting of Batman.

Our work on the first film at  uni has been sort of subdued, but that’s mostly because we’re on the short leash.
We’re going to gnaw it off soon enough.

After picking up my prints today I did the following, just to get a better feel for 3D layers in After Effects.
Based around constructing a three dimensional set with a floor and surroundings.
It like some parts, like the colour produced by the yellow light, but overall it’s a bit bland.
